At the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Summit held in New York on September 25, 2015, world leaders adopted the Sustainable Development Goals—comprising 17 goals and 169 targets—aimed at eradicating poverty in all its forms worldwide and ensuring the common well-being of humanity by 2030.
The declared Sustainable Development Goals represent a global call to action to end poverty, protect the environment, address the climate crisis, ensure the equitable distribution of prosperity, and promote peace. The goal is to create a more beautiful and livable world for humanity and future generations.
